Fundraising Challenge 2025
New Year, New Classrooms: Let’s Build a Better Future Together
We are thrilled to share that we have now raised...
£80,000 of our £100,000 target!

Thank you so much to everyone who has supported us so far!

This money will go directly towards upgrading our temporary classrooms and roof upgrades to make them warmer, more energy-efficient, and better learning spaces for our pupils. But we’re not there yet—and we need your help to reach the finish line before the end of term!

Why?
At St Peter’s, we believe every child deserves an inspiring and comfortable place to learn. Unfortunately, funding challenges have left us with three old, inefficient temporary classrooms. These classrooms are costly to heat, uncomfortable in extreme weather, and unsustainable for the future.

With rising costs and a real-term decline in funding, we face challenges not just in upgrading facilities, but also in providing curriculum resources, subsidising school trips, and keeping the school running efficiently. That’s why we’re launching “New Year, New Classrooms”—a community-driven fundraising challenge to upgrade our temporary classrooms*.
October 2025 Fundraising update
We’re delighted to share that our fundraising campaign has continued to go from strength to strength!

Our target was £100,000, and by the end of last school year we reached an incredible £80,000 — a huge achievement! This total came from a mix of Diocese of Exeter support, grants, trusts, sponsors, donations, and fantastic community fundraising efforts.

A special mention must go to our pupils, whose creativity and enthusiasm made the ‘Pupils Run the School Day’ such a success — raising an astonishing £11,000 on its own! Thank you to everyone who contributed, volunteered, or supported in any way.

Over the summer holidays, that money made a real difference. Beech Class was fully refurbished with a new roof, insulation to floors and walls, new doors and windows, and a full redecoration inside. It’s now a bright, comfortable, and inspiring space for learning. We also managed to redecorate four other areas of the school — another brilliant milestone for our community.

We did, however, run out of funds before we could complete the external spray painting of Beech Class (an additional £5,000), so that remains on our to-do list.

Next on the agenda is tackling the leaking roof on Oak/Ash, which will take us to our full £100k goal. We’re determined to get there — so watch this space for more exciting updates and fundraising opportunities!

Thank you for your continued generosity and support. Together, we’re making St Peter’s even better for every pupil.

*If we are fortunate to exceed our target, this money will be spent on other essential school maintenance.
